I first came to working with video, and animation while i was back at Napier Uni dong MultiMedia Studies … we’d been given free reign over the video capture suite, and had Premiere and After Effects to play with. I basically started out by taking some handdrawn graphics, and approaching them like a for of digital collage… the results were already fun, and then i realised that the editing software inside Macromedia’s Director ( a bit like Flash ) could be used to make frame by frame pieces too … this was many moons ago now, and computers have died and material been lost along the way.
At some point around 2012 I came back to animation for a while, and the new MacBook that i had back then was super … running Arena by Resolume I put together a “live” with the local soundsystem : heady daze, and spacey vibes, and a whole tryp for a while … we got away with 6-7 yrs, before it all got fractous and fell to bits … c’est la vie!
Here I’ll put some of the older stuff, some collective projects, some clips, and the reels i make for instagram from time to time
Other Experiences
Over the years, I’ve worked as a Chef, an Archeologist, a Builder and a Yurt Maker.
Making Yurts has probably been one of my best things to do, as it has encompassed design, and woodworking and a host of other skills. https://dessinemoiuneyourte.com
